Terms of Service
These Terms form an agreement between you and Cybster Technologies, trading as SSLassist. By accessing SSLassist, creating an account, using a tool or purchasing a service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
If you use SSLassist for an organisation, you confirm that you have authority to accept these Terms on its behalf. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
1. Eligibility and authority
You must be legally capable of entering this agreement and must use SSLassist only for domains, certificates, keys, systems and organisations that you own or are authorised to manage. SSLassist is designed primarily for business and professional use.
2. Accounts and security
- You must provide accurate account information and keep it current.
- You are responsible for activity performed through your account and for controlling access by your authorised users.
- You must use a strong, unique password and should enable two-factor authentication.
- You must promptly tell us if you suspect unauthorised access, credential disclosure or misuse.
- You must not share authentication credentials with unauthorised people or attempt to access another account.
We may require additional verification, reset sessions, revoke remembered-device tokens or restrict an account where reasonably necessary to protect the service or its users.
3. Free and account-based SSL tools
SSLassist provides tools for certificate checking, CSR generation, PFX creation, certificate and CSR decoding, key matching and related diagnostic tasks. Tool results are generated from information available at the time of the request and from material supplied by you.
- Results are informational and may be incomplete where a server, network, provider, certificate chain or supplied file cannot be reached or parsed.
- A successful certificate check or key match does not prove that a website, application, server or organisation is otherwise secure, trustworthy or compliant.
- You must independently review generated CSRs, certificate names, organisation details, SANs, key sizes and output files before use.
- You are responsible for securely storing private keys, passwords, certificates, PFX files and backups.
- You must not submit a private key or other confidential material unless the selected tool explicitly requires it.
SSLassist tools do not replace professional security, legal, compliance or certificate-authority advice.
4. Certificate products and third-party providers
Certificate products may be supplied through Namecheap, certificate authorities, validation providers and other third parties. Their policies, validation rules, warranty terms and technical requirements may also apply.
- You must control or be authorised to validate every requested domain and organisation.
- Payment or order submission does not guarantee issuance. A certificate authority may reject, delay, revoke or require further validation.
- You must check the requested names, validation type, organisation information, term and intended use before ordering and again before installation.
- You are responsible for completing validation requests and responding to certificate-authority enquiries within required timeframes.
- Expiry reminders and account notices are supplementary controls. You remain responsible for tracking and completing renewals.
- We may suspend or cancel a certificate workflow where required by a provider, law, security concern or evidence of unauthorised use.
5. Prices, payment, taxes and refunds
Prices are shown in the stated currency and may change before an order is accepted. Unless stated otherwise, you are responsible for applicable taxes, bank charges and currency-conversion fees.
Certificate products are customised digital services and may become non-refundable once an order has been submitted, validation has commenced or a certificate has been issued. Any refund remains subject to applicable law and the relevant provider’s refund or cancellation policy. Nothing in these Terms excludes a refund, remedy or consumer guarantee that cannot lawfully be excluded.
We may correct obvious pricing or product-description errors before fulfilment. Where we cannot supply an accepted order, we will provide an appropriate refund or alternative as required by law.
6. Acceptable use
You must not use SSLassist to:
- break the law, infringe rights or facilitate fraud, phishing, malware or unauthorised access;
- test, submit or manage domains, certificates or keys without permission;
- probe, overload, scrape, reverse engineer or interfere with the service beyond ordinary permitted use;
- bypass authentication, rate limits, Turnstile, security controls or access restrictions;
- upload malicious code, unlawful content or material that exposes another party’s secrets;
- resell, mirror or automate the service in a way that imposes unreasonable load or falsely represents affiliation; or
- use the service to create a misleading impression that a certificate alone proves trustworthiness or compliance.
We may investigate suspected abuse and cooperate with providers or authorities where reasonably necessary and legally permitted.
7. Your content and confidential material
You retain ownership of material you submit. You grant us a limited licence to process that material only as necessary to operate, secure and support the requested service and to comply with law.
You warrant that you have the right to submit the material. Do not use SSLassist as the only storage location for a private key, certificate or generated file. Temporary download availability is not a backup service.
8. Intellectual property
SSLassist, its software, design, branding, documentation and original content are owned by or licensed to Cybster Technologies. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service for its intended purpose while these Terms apply. You may not copy, sell, sublicense or create derivative services from protected parts of SSLassist except where law expressly permits it.
9. Availability and changes
We aim to provide a reliable service but do not promise uninterrupted or error-free availability. Maintenance, provider outages, internet conditions, certificate-authority systems, abuse controls and events outside our reasonable control may affect access or results.
We may add, change or discontinue features, limits or providers. Where a material change adversely affects a paid service already purchased, we will take reasonable steps to provide notice and an appropriate remedy where required by law.
10. Australian Consumer Law, disclaimers and liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies a consumer guarantee, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable law.
Subject to those non-excludable rights, SSLassist is provided on an “as available” basis. We do not guarantee that every result is complete, that every certificate will be issued, or that a certificate will prevent compromise, outage, fraud or loss.
To the extent permitted by law, neither party is liable to the other for indirect, consequential or special loss, loss of profit, loss of opportunity or loss arising from data or key disclosure, except to the extent such exclusion is prohibited or the loss was caused by fraud, wilful misconduct or liability that cannot be limited.
Where our liability can lawfully be limited, our aggregate liability arising from an affected paid service is limited to the amount you paid us for that service during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. For a free service, the limit is AUD $100. This limitation does not apply where it would be unfair, unlawful or inconsistent with a non-excludable guarantee.
11. Indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, you indemnify us against direct third-party claims and reasonable costs arising from your unlawful use of SSLassist, your unauthorised submission of another party’s domain or private key, or your material breach of these Terms. This does not apply to the extent the claim was caused by our negligence, breach or unlawful conduct.
12. Suspension and termination
You may stop using SSLassist at any time. You may ask us to close your account, subject to outstanding orders, legal retention and security requirements.
We may suspend or terminate access where reasonably necessary because of non-payment, security risk, unlawful activity, provider direction, repeated misuse or a material breach. Where practical and safe, we will provide notice and an opportunity to remedy the issue. Clauses intended to survive termination—including payment obligations, intellectual property, liability and dispute provisions—continue to apply.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect changes to the service, providers, law or business practices. The current version and effective date will appear on this page. Material changes may be communicated through SSLassist or by email. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance where permitted by law; where required, we will request fresh agreement.
14. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. The parties submit to the courts of Queensland and courts entitled to hear appeals from them, subject to any mandatory rights you have in another jurisdiction.
Before commencing proceedings, each party should attempt in good faith to resolve the dispute by written notice and reasonable discussion, except where urgent relief is required.
